We have 6 dogs and keeping up with the dog hair can be a chore. I decided to go on a hunt for a new vacuum when I finally got fed up with not being able to get my Dyson Animal under furniture - which means moving chairs, the couch, etc. in order to clean. Not to mention the Dyson has developed this "strip" where it doesn't pick up anything. Meaning I have to go over the same area multiple times to get it clean.
After much research, reading multiple blogs, chatting with on-line support, and reading multiple reviews I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Miele Capricorn. It arrived, my husband helped unpack it and I immediately started cleaning. So far here are the list of pros and cons I have come up with:

It can go under the bed, it does not emit any dust. The hepa filter is really good. If you have Allergies or Asama this is the one to get. After buying this vacuum, you have the feeling that other manufacturers have no clue what they are doing.
It is also very quiet.

I am glad I went for the "Flagship" Miele, it is so nice to have the controls on the handle. This vacuum is so easy to maneuver around furniture with the swivel head and to get at ceilings, curtains, etc with the telescoping hose. What is really nice is if you have to lower the suction level, it can easily be done without bending down turning a dial - it is done right at the handle. So easy to bring upstairs or downstairs, or vacuum the stairs. No longer lugging an upright up 12 stairs!
